The Little Rissington UFO incident took place on October 21, 1952, involving two Royal Air Force (RAF) pilots, Flight Lieutenant Michael Swiney and Flight Lieutenant Peter Mould. The pilots were flying a Gloster Meteor T.7 jet trainer over Gloucestershire, England, at an altitude of approximately 35,000 feet when they observed something extraordinary.
During their flight, Swiney and Mould spotted three metallic, disc-shaped objects in the sky. The objects were described as being saucer-like and exhibited highly unusual maneuvers, far beyond the capabilities of any known aircraft at the time. The discs flew in formation and made sharp turns, rapid changes in direction, and other maneuvers that left the pilots in awe.
The encounter lasted for about 10 minutes. Despite the pilots’ efforts to communicate with air traffic control and other aircraft, no one else reported seeing the objects. After the discs disappeared from view, the pilots reported the incident to RAF authorities, prompting an investigation.
The Little Rissington UFO incident gained significant media attention and became one of the most credible and well-documented UFO encounters involving military personnel. The pilots' training and expertise lent weight to their observations, making this case particularly intriguing to UFO researchers and enthusiasts.
