The Bonsall incident is a captivating UFO sighting that occurred on October 5, 2000, in Bonsall, Derbyshire, near Matlock, United Kingdom. A woman named Sharon Rowlands, from the nearby village of Slaley, claimed to have witnessed a large, luminous object hovering over a field near her home. The object was described as having a shimmering pink color, with intricate lights and markings.
Intrigued and somewhat unsettled, Rowlands grabbed her camcorder and managed to capture several minutes of footage. The object she filmed resembled a giant disc with a bite taken out of the bottom. It had yellow, orange, and blue lights, and a dark circle in the center. The object was seen hovering and rotating, appearing to expand and contract as it pulsed with light. At one point, it came very close to Rowlands, providing an awe-inspiring yet eerie spectacle.
The footage showed a ball of light that at times looked like it was made out of concentric circles, similar to a photographic orb. Various other residents in the area also reported seeing strange lights that evening, including one man who described witnessing a "pink glow, vertically shaped like a shoe box."
