The abduction of Jacob Jacobsson is one of the more unusual and early accounts of an alleged alien abduction, dating back to September 16, 1759, in Lonmora, Sweden. Jacob Jacobsson, a 22-year-old crofter, was sent by his father on a simple errand across a nearby lake. Upon returning, Jacob encountered a bizarre and inexplicable event.
As he made his way back, he stumbled upon a long, wide road that hadn't been there before. Curious and somewhat bewildered, Jacob followed the road to a grand red mansion. Inside the mansion, he came face to face with short, humanoid beings and a chubby man wearing a red cap. A beautiful young woman offered him food and drink, but Jacob, feeling increasingly uneasy, declined.
The little people asked Jacob if he would like to stay with them. Overwhelmed by fear and confusion, he prayed to God to send him back home. In response to his prayer, the chubby man shouted, "Throw him out, he has such an ugly mouth!" The next moment, Jacob found himself back at the lake shore, with no trace of the road or the mansion.
Upon reaching home, Jacob realized that much more time had passed than he had perceived. Although he thought he had only been gone for minutes, he discovered that he had been missing for four days. His parents and the entire community had been searching for him.
This bizarre encounter was recorded by the Reverend Vigelius of the parish of Ramsberg, who heard Jacob's testimony and deemed it significant enough to document in the parish records.
